Midnight Escape

It's been a wholeeeee day and a half

January 30, 2023

So. This week got a little crazy

First the weather was soooo nice at the beginning of the week,  so we decided to do some of our studies on the river. That was nice :)

It's going to be a shorter email this week unfortunately :/

We wrote on our zone leaders' car (with window markers). We were very proud of ourselves. It was pretty funny 😁 They took a selfie with us, but haven't given me the photo, so they weren't too upset, haha. They did go get a car wash after that though 😆

So now for the "fun" stories.
Our sewage stopped working 💪 and spat all over the side door step. 😀 Despite already having a plumber tell us we were chilling TWICE already. We are very not chilling. We cleaned up sewage for an hour and a half. That was great.

But... we did get to have a sleepover in a member's super nice basement for the weekend. That was really fun actually. It was like a vacation, even though our missionary work didn't stop.

We are all sad to be going back to our house 😔 but we also don't want to overstay our welcome. The members were soooo sweet. We all decided that they are our surrogate parents (even if they don't know that). They also have a super cute dog that we all adore. He came down to visit us when we were studying. That room sounded like that one scene in Pirates of the Caribbean, when the prisoners are trying to get the dog to come over with the keys. Needless to say, our furry visitor was greeted very warmly.

But our sewage is supposedly getting fixed today, so it's back to Splinter House we go!

One of our friends got baptized this Saturday!!! She is so awesome! Of course, we forgot to get a picture with her, but it was awesome :)

Spiritual Thought
2 Nephi 32:9
"But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul."

I've been thinking a lot about prayer this week. It's so important to stay in touch with our Father in Heaven. There is so much strength and peace that comes from prayer. I've been working on prioritizing prayer more, if any of you'd like to join me 😁

I hope everyone's doing well! I love y'all!
